FERNANDO GONÇALVES
(1940)
Inicia-se na fotografia em 1976.
Integra o colectivo de fotógrafos HP, que realiza, entre outras, uma encomenda da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian sobre os eléctricos de Lisboa, a qual se encontra depositada no Centro Português de Fotografia (Porto), e uma encomenda de Ricardo Pais para o projecto “Ninguém”.
Individualmente fotografa essencialmente teatro, tendo trabalhado com os encenadores Ricardo Pais, Luisa Maria Martins e João Lourenço, entre outros.
Concretiza, igualmente, alguns projectos pessoais, nomeadamente sobre os Avieiros do rio Tejo e os passageiros dos barcos “cacilheiros” de Lisboa.
Seleccionado para participar na iniciativa da Secretaria de Estado da Cultura (Direcção da Acção Cultural) “Fotografia Portuguesa 1970-1980”, (catálogo e exposição itinerante).
Por razões profissionais, não realiza qualquer fotografia entre 1980 e 2006.
Regressado à fotografia em 2006 finaliza, desde então, os seguintes projectos:

- montagem da instalação de Pedro Cabrita Reis no CAM da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian
2007
- montagem da exposição “O brilho das Imagens” no Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga
2008
- fotografia dos toldos montados nos jardins do CAM da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian e integrados no ciclo “Distância e Proximidade”.
- “Up&Down” Um olhar sobre uma escada do Museu Colecção Berardo–Centro Cultural de Belém
Em Junho ganha o concurso sob o tema “Darkness wich may be felt”, promovido pela Fundação JGS, de Nova York (www.jgsinc.org), a qual colabora, no campo da fotografia, com alguns dos mais prestigiados museus americanos e europeus (Jeu de Paume-Paris, Musée de l´Elysee-Lausanne, Museum of Modern Art-New York, Museo Reina Sofia-Madrid, National Portrait Gallery-London, entre outros).
2009
- Declarado vencedor do concurso para a melhor fotografia de 2008, promovido pela Fundação JGS.
- Em Outubro começa a fotografar com WebCam e computador AppleBook Pro
FERNANDO GONÇALVES

Started to photograph in 1976 and integrated the HP group, whose activity elapsed in the seventies.
With them carried through, among others, a work on the Lisbon tramcars, under the invitation of the portuguese Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, which is now deposited in the Portuguese Center of Photography in Porto, and another one by invitation of theatre director Ricardo Pais for the project “Ninguém.
Individually, photographed essentially theater, having worked with the theatre directors Ricardo Pais, Luisa Maria Martins and João Lourenço, among others.
Also materialized some personal projects, like the “Avieiros do Rio Tejo” and “The boats of Lisbon”, having been selected for the exhibition “Portuguese Photography 1970-1980”, organized by the National State Department of Culture.
For professional reasons, did not carry through any photograph between 1980 and 2006.
Retook the photograph in 2006, and since then have carried through some projects, being at moment working in “Underground Chronicles”, “Have you already made your wish?” , “Dancing in the street”, “Domestic Landscape” and “Glamour-Side B”.
In June 2008 won the competition under the theme “Darkness which may be felt”, promoted by the organisation JGS Foundation, New York (www.jgsinc.org), which cooperates in the field of photography with some of the most prestigious American and European museums (Jeu de Paume-Paris, Musée de l’Elysee-Lausanne, Museum of Modern Art-New York, Museo Reina Sofia-Madrid, National Portrait Gallery-London, among others).
In January 2009 declared winner of the 2008 year best photo of the competition promoted by the JGS Foundation.
In October 2009 start taking photos with WebCam and MacBook Pro computer.

Explique-se – como conceito – a ideia de uma água “profunda” que se desloca e move permanentemente como que desenhando um rio mental: as palavras e o que elas nomeiam e como um sistema em que elas se reproduzem e alastram (a conversa, os livros, e por fim a “biblioteca”) é um
modo de levar algo de um para outro.”…
